Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) are associated with dysfunctions in behavior, cognition and perception. A growing body of evidence has also recently associated ASD with complex motor disorders that appear to predate cognitive impairment.

The objective of the project is to finely characterize the motor behavior of children with ASD on gross motor tasks (posture, walking) and fine motor skills (writing, pointing) in order to determine whether it is possible to find specificities. Ultimately, this project will open up a new perspective in the early and quantitative diagnosis of ASD and in the establishment of new therapeutic specifically targeting motor disorders.
