Aging and Psychopathology of Memory (ViPsyM)

Research Topics

My research is mainly concerned with cognitive control and memory in normal and pathological aging. Based on theoretical models from cognitive psychology and neuroscience, the aim is to study the normal functioning of cognitive control all throughout adulthood – with a particular interest in the monitoring and the goal maintenance processes. My work also attempts to better understand the functioning dynamics of cognitive control and memory by considering both the influence of “external factors” (e.g. stimulus characteristics, task parameters), and inter- and intra-individual variations (e.g. age, mood, pathologies).

In addition to various classical behavioural paradigms, I mainly carry out experiments involving eye-tracking. I have also been interested in experiments using virtual reality recently.

This research aims to contribute to a better understanding of cognitive control and memory. Another goal is to develop diagnostic aid tools based on oculomotor parameters and their relationships with normal and pathological cognitive functioning.
