Aging and Psychopathology of Memory (ViPsyM)

Research interests

My work aims to better understand:

  1. the effects of normal aging on cognitive and cerebral processes of encoding and retrieval in episodic memory by using behavioral and electroencephalographical (event-related potentials) indicators of these mechanisms.
  2. the factors likely to modulate memory aging: cognitive reserve factors (education, physical activity), cognitive resources (knowledge and executive control), environmental factors (stereotype threat) and personality.

Keywords:

Episodic memory, aging, memory strategies, knowledges, executive control, cognitive reserve, physical activity, educational level, personality, stereotype threat
